This week!

I l have availability Monday through Thursday this week, so be sure to check my bookings to see what times are open. I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with you!

Also, exciting news I am graduating on Friday the 22nd! I’ll be celebrating graduation that evening and heading out on my graduation trip right after, so I’ll be away and not taking photos for the remainder of the month until the 31st.

That means now is the perfect time to book before I leave! I still have plenty of availability before graduation, and once I’m back, I’ll have lots of time for sessions again. Thank you all so much for the support, and I can’t wait to create with you!

Current focuses and updates

I’m currently still working hard to grow my photography pages across all of my social media platforms, and I’d truly appreciate your support. On Facebook, I’m getting very close to 500 followers, and my goal is to reach 1,000 by the end of the year. As for my other platforms, I’m hoping to continue growing those as well, so if you don’t already follow me, I would greatly appreciate it if you did.

If you enjoy my work, please consider sharing my pages with friends and family, especially anyone looking for a photographer. Even simply sharing my page and helping spread the word means so much to me and truly helps support my business and passion.

As for photography updates, I do still have a giveaway coming soon! Graduation season has had me a little busy lately, so it’s taken me a bit longer to get everything together, but it’s definitely on the way, so stay tuned!

Once things settle down, I’ll be back with more content, updates, and some really fun things I can’t wait to share with you all.

Thank you so much for all of the support. It truly means more than you know.

Tips & TRicks

Photography Tip: If you’re planning a photo session, try to avoid scheduling it in the middle of the day. Midday sunlight may seem ideal, but it actually creates very harsh lighting, strong shadows, and usually leads to a lot of squinting and blinking in photos. For the best results, aim for earlier mornings or later afternoons when the lighting is softer, warmer, and much more flattering. Those times of day help create the dreamy, glowy photos everyone loves and make your session much more comfortable overall.

Here are a few of my favorite photos I’ve taken during those times of day!

Behind the lens

For this week’s behind my lens, we’re taking a quick look back at one of my very first photo shoots. I had the opportunity to work with the Davidson Middle School band, and it was such a fun experience capturing all of the talented instrumentalists doing what they love.

It was so cool watching everyone come together, play their instruments, and enjoy the moment while I moved up and down the stands taking photos throughout the night. The energy was amazing, and everyone was so excited to have pictures taken.

Looking back at sessions like this is also really special because it reminds me just how far I’ve come. From some of my very first shoots, like this one, to where I am now, it’s incredible to see how much I’ve grown as a photographer over time. I’m so thankful for every opportunity that’s helped me learn, improve, and continue doing what I love.

That's all for this weeks blog. Thanks for being here! Please come back next week.
